Synopsis:
The presenter would like to spread awareness on the challenges faced by students with dyslexia when learning Science and how they could overcome these challenges when provided with meaningful learning experiences that would create opportunities to inquire about the role of Science in today’s world.

Kavitha Tiruchelvam joined the Dyslexia Association of Singapore in 2007. She is a Lead Educational Therapist and a Programme Manager for the Specialised Educational Services (SES) Science Programmes. She has been teaching students with Dyslexia and other co-morbidities such as Speech & Language Impairment and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder. Kavitha holds a Master’s Degree in Inclusive and Special Education from Monash University.
