Bio About
Zakiyyah graduated from the University of South Wales with a Master of Arts in Special Education and previously earned a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the Singapore University of Social Sciences in 2018. She joined the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) in 2019 as an Educational Therapist at Tampines Learning Centre. Prior to this, she worked with students with special needs in mainstream schools from 2014 to 2019.
Over the years, Zakiyyah has supported a wide range of learners with diverse needs, including those with co-morbidities such as Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Autism. She strongly believes in incorporating fun and engaging elements into her lessons to promote deeper internalisation of concepts. Her hope is to inspire students to embrace the joy of learning, as she firmly believes that the process of learning never truly stops.
