Bio About
As a primary and secondary teacher who has taught in both mainstream and private schools, Faith is familiar with the MOE examinations and understands the stresses that students face and has worked with students with learning needs like dyslexia, ADD and students who are on the spectrum.
With the right strategies and techniques, Faith believes every child (and even adults) can be empowered to succeed and shine in their capacity.
She discovered this field by chance more than 15 years ago when she was determined to 'solve' the mystery of why her 15 year old student was failing written papers but was excelling in his verbal examinations. Since then, she has gone on to help many students unravel their learning challenges, adapt and adopt the best learning strategies which suit them. On a few rare occasions, she has also included a drama based approach when working with a smaller group.
She continues to read and research widely for new methods to help her learners progress. More than a teacher, she hopes her students see her as a coach, who is constantly involved in their learning.
Her mantra ‘Every child will learn at their own pace, in their right time , at the right setting, with the right tools and with the right support’
Favourite quote “Tell me and I will forget. Teach me and I may remember. Involve me and I will learn." Benjamin Franklin.
