Bio About

A dedicated and creative educator, Joanne has been teaching and providing intervention to preschool and primary school children with learning and/or developmental challenges children since 2006. She enables these children to learn effectively by using various methods and strategies for their learning and to manage their behaviour. 

 

Joanne is a graduate and trained in Orton-Gillingham Approach. In addition, she has consistently attended various courses and workshops to upskill herself, covering various topics ranging from numeracy and online teaching to sensory integration and social-emotional learning for children.

 

With a wide exposure to various teaching strategies and approaches, Joanne has successfully helped many children improve their English and Math by enabling them to apply their newly acquired skills in literacy and numeracy. She is now working in TOUCH Community Services managing a team of Learning Support Educators while providing Literacy and Math learning support to struggling learners with learning and/or developmental challenges.
