Bio About

I started my teaching career with a private preschool in Singapore, which catered to children of various nationalities.  My interaction with some of the students who had learning difficulties drove me to train in Orton-Gillingham Approach and obtain Double Diploma in Dylexia Teaching to help them.. Before joining DAS International in April 2013, I taught Literacy and Math to students with multiple learning difficulties including dyslexia, dyscalculia, and ADHD for about 6 years as a private tutor. I support students across grades k to 12  from both local and international schools. Having a strong background and interest in Mathematics drives me to cultivate a love of the subject in my students. My aim is to understand the strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles of children in order to design individualized programs to help and motivate them to achieve their targets. I believe that building a strong rapport with students and creating a conducive learning environment are the key ingredients of the teaching process, which help the smooth delivery of knowledge. My motto is: "Let learning be your compass; not the cage!"
