Bio About

Noorhidaya (Hidaya) joined the Dyslexia Association of Singapore in June 2022 as an Educational Therapist (Flexi) at DAS Tampines Learning Centre, bringing with her an extensive wealth of experience in the field of education from mainstream schools in Singapore and Brunei.  At DAS, she provides customised lessons to students with dyslexia and other specific learning differences.  She develops teaching methods and instructional materials that meet her young learners’ varying needs, based on the Orton-Gillingham Principles.

Noorhidaya graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Arts (English Literature). She followed that up with a Post-Graduate Diploma in Education in 1993, specialising in English Literature from the National Institute of Education. She attained her Specialist Diploma in Educational Therapy in 2023. Noorhidaya is trained in the Orton Gillingham (OG) Approach to teach students with dyslexia. She is trained to teach various aspects of the English language. A diligent and resourceful Educational Therapist, Noorhidaya enjoys
tailoring her teaching materials to the needs of her students.
