Bio About

Yi Fan joined the Dyslexia Association of Singapore in 2025 as an Educational Therapist, where he develops individualised lesson plans to support students who face challenges in learning English. His teaching is grounded in empathy, structure, and a strong belief in every learner’s potential.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology with a minor in Korean. His psychology background gives him insight into the emotional and learning needs of students with special educational needs, allowing him to approach them with sensitivity and create a supportive, respectful learning environment.

As a learner of Mandarin Chinese, English, Malay, and Korean, Yi Fan understands firsthand the challenges of acquiring a language. He brings this multilingual perspective into his teaching and sees learning as a two-way process in which he grows alongside his students. Above all, he values diverse ways of thinking and learning, and strives to help every student recognise that being different can also be something special.
