Bio About
Jabari earned his B.S in Communications from Miles College-Alabama, USA, a Master of Arts in Teaching-Special Education/Psychopathology from Augusta State University-Georgia, USA, and is Licensed as a Special Education Consult in Georgia, USA. Before working internationally, Jabari worked as a Special Education Teacher, Youth At-Risk counselor, and Head Basketball Trainer/Coach. Jabari currently works at Stamford American School as a Special Education Team Lead. His goal is to provide efficient communication and adequate support with fidelity for parents, teachers, and students to meet the diverse needs of all learners. Jabari has a passion for working with students with exceptionalities to share his philosophy of having a Growth Mindset. Jabari teaches strategies for Emotional Intelligence, Executive Functioning, and Critical Thinking. Jabari has served the Singapore International Community for four years and recently added the Visible Thinking (Harvard), MARIO Educator, and Together Leader Endorsements.

As a Special Education Team Lead in our Intensive Support Program, Jabari works with students with various modalities in an inclusive environment. The Intensive Support Program at Stamford is currently Singapore's only international school. Jabari advocates for inclusivity and has helped the Intensive Support Program establish a concrete foundation. The program is flourishing due to Jabari’s continued advocacy, high dedication to the students, and collaboration with the staff.
Jabari navigated scheduling, coaching, supporting, and leading his team of 14 members ranging from experienced therapists and specialised educators. His team continued to thrive and push students’ and staff’s expectations to higher standards. He works with student groups of varying sizes, provides instructions, and targets interventions through data analysis. Jabari's work ethic and drive for student success contributed to the success of the program, the team, and his students. Jabari established a program that fostered consistent holistic student growth and academic achievement.
