Bio About
Chia Chee joined the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) in June 2024 as a Flexi Educational Therapist, supporting learners with dyslexia and other specific learning differences in Chinese literacy. Her focus is on structured Chinese literacy intervention that equips students with transferable skills for success in mainstream classrooms. She applies the Orton-Gillingham (OG) approach — a multisensory, explicit, and systematic method — to help students strengthen their decoding, recognition, and writing strategies in Chinese. Her goal is to build confidence, independence, and long-term learning habits. Before joining DAS, Chia Chee worked as a Chinese language tutor, supporting primary and lower secondary students from diverse learning backgrounds. She brings a practical understanding of learner needs and continues to draw from that experience in her current role.
