Bio About
Preeti shares that her challenges and expectations of education, thrill her and intimidate her at the same time for the same reason: familiarity. It is what, she believes, makes her uniquely effective in her journey as an educator. She has been teaching neurodiverse children and teens for almost 30 years in clinical and school settings. While she started her career with tutoring children with hearing and visual impairment, she has transitioned into learning support, behaviour modification and counselling for children with additional learning needs upon her arrival in Singapore in 2001. Preeti's higher degrees in education and counselling were pursued with an aim to combine the aspects of well-being, learning and curriculum to enable a holistic perspective in supporting children with dyslexia and other learning needs. Currently, she heads the Whole School Student Support Department in an International school in Singapore.It has been her unique privilege, she says, to witness the progression of her students over a span long enough to effectively offer consultations on educational pathways that affect long-term outcomes.
