Bio About
Arzami has taught in various learning institutions like Anglo-Chinese School (Independent), Hwa Chong International School, National University of Singapore and UniSIM (now SUSS), on English Language and Literature, Communication and Critical Reading and Writing. He was Level Coordinator for English and Literature Department in various schools and has experienced developing and teaching the level curriculum for Secondary/ Junior College/ IGCSE/ Pre-IB levels and the Polytechnic. He holds a Bachelor of Arts with a Diploma in Education (Merit) and an M.A in English Studies from Nanyang Technological University and University of Singapore respectively. He is an NIE trained educator and is highly involved in community work, serving as Chairman of the Malay Activity Executive Committee of Braddell Heights constituency, council member of Islamic Religious Council of Singapore (MUIS) and having served as the president of the Singapore Malay Teachers’ Union. His interest in joining the Dyslexia Association of Singapore as a Specialist Sessional Tutor stems from his lifelong passion in supporting the young to excel in their studies regardless of the learning challenges his charges may face in committing to their aspirations.
